Trans Sister Tales is the brain child
of Director/Producer Dee Dee Flores. Weary Of the portrayals of trans women in the media and tv/fims, she was inspired to create
this unique theatre piece as a way to change society’s perception of trans women.
Performed monthly by an all transgendered cast, TST is about giving a voice to those who have something to say about their experience and their place in the world.
Miss Flores brought Leslie Townsend on board as co-executive producer and together they hope to bring Trans Sister Tales to the attention of the Hollywood machine in order to facilitate more truthful representations of trans women in the media.
This show is about acceptance, challenge, living
and being true to oneself.
Each show has nine cast members performing their original monologues. These incredible women share their tales of life, love and transition with candor and honesty. The cast changes each month so as to bring new voices to the stage.
The audience gets a rare glimpse of what it means to walk through life as a trans person. In this way, TST opens hearts and minds. It educates and inspires.
